Wouter Torringa (he/him) is an improvising violinist and maker. In his music he explores themes of beauty and nature, but also destruction, anger and hopelessness. Fueled by this contradiction, he likes to push his own artistic boundaries, and finds himself often on the edge. He combines his music with visual art and movement and creates a space for people to be touched and to be confronted.
‘’I think art can open up space in people. Make space to breathe and to really consider and feel through things that are neglected in everyday life. That's why I think art should be everywhere people go. So we can have the possibility to escape the rigid loops that so many of us are stuck in.’’
